Dear Bela

You walked so proud

before you fell;

Grace and poise in a cape of black

listening to the children of the night.

Gliding across the stage and screen

in glorious black and white,

reflecting life of a bygone age

where the shades of grey were symbols,

of love, fury, and lust.

You captured them…

And when you fell,

a piece of lost art,

as delicate as porcelain fell with you..

Forever you shall be remembered

as one who walked in darkness

but reflected the light of an era now gone…
